Hey. I watched the video because ive always had difficulties elevating the puck. I will say that this video helped alot, however, even though I can elevate the puck now, my work of elevating it is fairly inconsistent. If you have any aditional advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

You don't need to have both feet pointed in the same direction. Whatever foot you are transferring weight onto should be pointed in the direction you want the puck to go. This helps your body align itself properly. If you feel a bit off balanced it could be because you are not used to this motion, just keep practicing and you will get it!

You got an amazing slap shot! I'm trying your tricks but i have one problem. When i point the direction i want to shoot with my feet i often loose balance. Would you have a trick for me? (Sorry if my english is a little crappy)

Amazing how accurate you are with your slapper. Something to strive for.
Keep up the great work on the site!

Hey Brian, thanks for your comment. If you have good form I find the higher flex actually works better. If you can flex the stick then the high flex sticks will kick back quicker. With good form you should be able to go top shelf with any stick, but everyone will eventually find their ideal stick flex, so try a lower flex stick (if you can get your hands on one) and see if it helps

Love the articles and videos. I'm new to hockey and live in Australia. I've got an aluminum stick which I got second hand with all my other gear. I'm finding shooting high a problem with the snapshot, is it likely because the stick is hard to flex?
