Why I love it
The Green Biscuit slides THE BEST on almost any surface. You can use it outside on cement or ashphalt and it works better than any other off-ice puck I have tried.
Price
The Green Biscuit sells for $12.95, you can get discounts if you buy in bulk. I recommend buying a few so you can have one in your hockey bag, one at home, and a backup in case you lose or break one.
Where to Buy
You can get the Green Biscuit on this page on HockeyShot.com and it is also available here on Amazon.com (free shipping for orders over $25)
My Green Biscuit Review
In this video I tested out the Green Biscuit, I meant for it to be a review, but I just loved the thing so much I kind of turned it into a commercial, haha. Seriously though, every hockey player should own one of these!
Other People’s Reviews
Here’s what other people are saying about the Green Biscuit
On Amazon it has 24 5 star reviews and 3 4 star reviews. From my own experience the only disadvantage is that you should not shoot it (it could break) and it’s loud.
Surpassed expectations – “It slid right over cracks and everything staying perfectly flat. You can do everything from toe drags to saucer passes”
Amazing! – “I got this puck because I practice a lot more in my unfinished basement than I do at our rink. (It’s 30 miles away from home). When I got it, I was in awe of how smooth it glided on the concrete. I can stickhandle, stickhandle, stickhandle”
It certainly works well – “I’m no hockey player but I suck a lot less after working with this, I bought 3. I’m kinda looking forward to busting one so I know it’s limits, it’s slammed into the curb pretty hard along with my makeshift passer made of 25lb weights”

The green biscuit is a hockey training puck that is designed to be used on surfaces such as pavement and asphalt, but feel like a real puck on ice. You can get information about the Green Biscuit below, and also on our full Green Biscuit Review
The green biscuit is the exact same size as a regular hockey puck, however slightly lighter. The green biscuit is made lighter than a normal puck because of the added friction of rough surfaces. The increased friction makes the green biscuit feel heavier, thus a lighter off ice puck will better match the feel of a regular puck on the ice.
The advantages of using a green biscuit are
- Slides smoothly on rough surfaces
- Does not flip up easily
- Great for practicing passing on any paved surface
- Very similar to the feel of a puck on the ice
- Better than many other off ice alternatives
Every hockey player knows the feeling of skating with a hockey puck on the ice. It slides forever, doesn’t flip all over the place, travels in a straight line, and there is very little friction involved. The properties of a hockey puck on ice are very hard to replicate, so if you want to practice off ice, you need a good product. We think the green biscuit does a great job of reproducing the feel of using a puck on ice. For more information ( and a cool video) you can read our review of the Green Biscuit
